Foul and the Breakfast Brunch

First things first... make sure you got your pita bread and extra virgin olive oil!

Ingredients for making Foul:

Serves 6 people

2 cans of California Gardens Fave Beans

2-1/2 cups of boiled Hummus (check out out hummus recipe to learn how to make fresh boiled hummus

1-1/2 lemons ( you can add and subtract based on desired citrus taste)

2 medium cloves of garlic

A small bunch of Cilantro

Salt as needed

Directions:

1. Drain the 2 cans of fava beans and wash. Then in a pot add the fava beans with fresh water until it is completely covered and boil.

2. In a serving bowl: squeeze the lemon and add, then crush the garlic, add some salt.

3. When the fava beans boil, drain from the water and add to the serving bowl with the other ingredients.

4. Get your hummus (drained and clean) and place in the same pot and add 1/2 cup of water. Remove when heated.

5. Get a utensil to smash the fava beans in the serving bowl with the other ingredients. It will taste best when the fava beans are soft.

6. Add the hummus to the serving bowl.

7. Mince the cilantro and add to the serving bowl.

8. Mix well!! You can play with adding some lemon, garlic, and salt based on how you like the taste.

Enjoy and Sahteen!

Making the Labneh mtawmeh (garlic mint Labneh)

For 1 cup of Labneh, add: 1 small cloves of crushed garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of dried crushed mint, and salt as desired. Mix Well!

It's a wonderful way to eat labneh. Even better if you toast some zataar in a pita and dip it!

Don't forget your cherry tomatoes ;)
